Andres Bosshard is an extraordinarily versatile artist
who began as a painter but soon expanded into actions
and performances before turning to experimental music
theatre.
He has developed solar powered sound-objects, interactive computer music programs
and multichannel sound installations.
His most important projects:
" Dam in Fusio" (1987),
" Sound Bridge Bern" (1990),
" telefonia" (1991) a simultaneous satellite-link concert (sound and
video streamng between New York and Winterthur.
Bosshard was co-author and responsible for the sound mixing of te collective
projects "chip radio" (ORF radio 1992); "realtime" (ORF
radio and TV, 1993); "manandarbandr" sonambiente, Berlin (1996);
media-architecture for the"Klangturm" in St.Pölten, Austria
(1995-98);
Fellow at the khm (academy of media arts Cologne) (1997/8),
expo project "Wasserspuren" for Hann.Münden (2000); expo project "Klangallee" Bad
Pyrmont (2000).
Expo project"Agora", a sound land art theatre in the shape of a giant
ear, Nitterfeld (Leipzig) (since 2000) Artistic director of the sound tower
in Biel for the National expo02 in Switzerland (2002).
He was part of “Radiotopia”, Ars Electronica, Linz 2002.
First presentation of the"rotobossophon", Dresden November 2002.
