I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and now live in Jedburgh
in the Scottish Borders. I studied French and linguistics
at Aberdeen University and am about to begin a PhD in
Composition.
For many years my musical background was in performance,
on conventional and more recently on hand-made microtonal
instruments.
My current interests are in electro-acoustic music,
microtonality and contemporary choral music. At present
I am exploring the idea of narrative, explicit and implicit,
in acousmatic music.
